Real Estate Road Show Slated for April 17

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Around 2,000 residential, commercial and vacant properties are selected for tax sale each year for delinquent taxes. Potential investors can learn more about how to purchase properties from the Shelby County Tax Sale and Land Bank at the next Real Estate Road Show. The quarterly event will be held from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on April 17 at the Memphis Botanic Garden (750 Cherry Rd.).

At the Road Show, representatives from the Trustee’s Office and the Chancery Court Clerk and Master’s Office will make presentations about the purchasing process, the land bank and the online auction website.

“In February, we set a record for properties sold and revenue collected,” said Shelby County Trustee David Lenoir. “The Real Estate Road Show has been successful in educating investors, while having the tax sale online has streamlined the process and increased participation.”

The event is sponsored by Chandler Reports and is free and open to the public. Prospective bidders may register at

The tax sale is conducted online four times each year. It is a joint effort of the Chancery Court Clerk & Master and the Shelby County Trustee’s Office. The next tax sale is April 25-27 and can be found at
