County Trustee Goes From Farm to DeskBy Meagan NicholsMemphis Business Journal
Shelby County Trustee David Lenoir doesn't just keep books. He also keeps bees.
Lenoir was elected to the Trustee's Office in 2010. A graduate of the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Accountancy, Lenoir spent 20 years in the financial industry before taking office.
And, while many people are familiar with Lenoir the banker or Lenoir the elected official, people might not be as acquainted with Lenoir the farmer.
Lenoir and his wife, Shannon, and their two sons live on a 15-acre farm north of Collierville. Pigs, horses, chickens, ponds stocked with fish, blueberry bushes, muscadine vines and honeybees can all be found on Lenoir's farm.
Lenoir said the farm is where he is able to relax and solve problems, and it is there he is often taught life lessons applicable to his career.
